British and World Literature Online

Students read selections from British and world literature in a loosely organized chronological framework. They analyze the themes, styles, and structures of these texts and make thematic connections among diverse authors, periods, and settings. Students complete guided and independent writing assignments that refine their analytical skills. They have opportunities for creative expression in projects of their choice. Students also practice test-taking skills for standardized assessments in critical reading and writing. Prerequisite: English 9, 10, 11 (or equivalent).
