Keystone Undergoes Re-Accreditation Process in 2010
Keystone National High School has been accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools (NAAS) since 1998. Our last accreditation visit was in 2004 and this year we are hosting another visit from NAAS leaders as part of our re-accreditation process. In 2009 we surveyed parents, students and staff and held several online meetings to collect stakeholder feedback on our mission and school operations. We have analyzed student achievement data, customer comments and staff feedback to develop the following mission statement and Expected School-Wide Learning Results.
Our Mission:
The Keystone School provides high quality individualized educational experiences in a safe, technology enabled learning environment to empower students to achieve their academic and personal goals.
Expected School-Wide Learning Results
- School Culture: All Keystone students, parents, student advocates, faculty and staff participate in learning as a lifelong process and actively support the learning of others.
- Engagement: Success is achieved by collective and individual engagement.
- Instruction: All Keystone students, parents, and student advocates are supported by faculty and staff who provide meaningful learning experiences and opportunities for individual academic success.
- Achievement: All Keystone students, parents, student advocates, faculty and staff view their role as critical to attaining a common mission: empowering students to achieve their academic goals.
Through the re-accreditation process, Keystone is evaluated on every aspect of school operations including academic programs, teacher support, student services and more. Our accreditation ensures that our students receive the quality and breadth of education that they expect as they prepare for college or a career and beyond.
