The Keystone School Recommended for Re-Accreditation and Initial Accreditation by two regional agencies

Over the past 12 months a large group of stakeholders, including students, parents, school partners and staff, have completed an exhaustive study of The Keystone School in preparation for re-accreditation by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools and initial accreditation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA). We are pleased to announce that a two-day site visit by three educational experts from the two agencies resulted in The Keystone School being recommended for six more years of accreditation by both.

Keystone National High School was originally accredited by Northwest Association of Accredited Schools in 1998 for six years and was re-accredited in 2004 for an additional six years.  Based on feedback from accreditation reviewers and upon approval by the full Northwest Association of Accredited Schools board in June, the school expects to receive another six-year re-accreditation this summer.

This year Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools joined the accreditation review since The Keystone School office is located in the MSA service area and Keystone students attend hundreds of colleges and schools in the eastern portion of the United States. The Keystone School is currently a candidate for accreditation by Middle States and will be recommended for a six year accreditation at their October board meeting.

The accreditation recommendations by Northwest Association of Accredited Schools and MSA validate the high quality educational experience of The Keystone School students. Accreditation by two of the six regional accrediting agencies assures that The Keystone School credits and diploma are accepted by schools, colleges and universities accredited by any of the six regional agencies.
