Meeting Recap - Tips to Keep Your Students Motivation Going Strong

On November 16th and November 18th, Keystone held the monthly Parent Meeting webinar titled ‘Tips to Keep Your Student’s Motivation Going Strong’ with about 50 parents in attendance from both our Middle School and High School programs. In this meeting we discussed the top ten tips for motivating Keystone students.

The tips included:

  • Keep positive with your student,
  • Make sure that students have all of the necessary tools
  • Hold their student accountable.

We spent quite a lot of time discussing the most important tip: Goal Setting.

Some parents may ask why goal setting is important to motivation. The answer to that question is that breaking their classes up into manageable parts makes it less overwhelming and allows students to celebrate small successes.  Once students have success, they are much more likely to feel motivated to continue.
