How To: Use Your Parent Observer Account To Track Your Student's Progress

Here at Keystone, we provide parents with a few useful tools to keep track of student progress. One of the most powerful and detailed tools we provide is the Parent Observer Account, which is sent to the parents of an online student approximately 2-3 weeks after enrollment. Please note that these accounts are only available for online courses.

The Parent Observer Account allows you to log into Blackboard and view your student’s online gradebook to see how often your student is working, and the scores your student is earning on each individual assignment or exam.

Using this account, you will be able to see information such as:

December Parent Meeting Recap - Socialization

Thank you to all of the parents and students who attended the December Parent Meeting about socialization last week. For those of you who were unable to make it, here is a quick recap:

On December 14th and 16th, we had our December Parent Meeting called “Socialization: Keystone Style.” The meetings had a small, but interested group of people that consisted of both parents and students.

We discussed all of the clubs that Keystone offers as well as how students can get involved if they are interested.  Although our clubs are meant to allow students to get to know each other and explore interests, they are also a great resume builder and can be used to gain experience in a particular area of interest!

If you missed the meeting and would like to see the recording, you’ll find it in the Guidance Services class in Blackboard. If you have any additional questions about socialization at Keystone, you can post them in the comments below or ask us on our Facebook page to get answers from our staff, parents and students!
